A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Lagomorpha : Leporidae , and Galliformes : Phasianidae ; adults alone have been collected from Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Carnivora : Canidae , while larvae and nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia : Cricetidae , Dipodidae and Muridae . Ixodes kazakstani is a very rare parasite of humans.
