A Palearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae ; larvae and nymphs are commonly recovered from Lagomorpha : Ochotonidae , but all parasitic stages have been collected from Lagomorpha : Leporidae . Adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla : Camelidae and Moschidae , Carnivora : Canidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae ; nymphs and larvae have been found on Rodentia : Muridae ( Apanaskevich et al. 2014, Guglielmone et al. 2014). There are no records of Dermacentor everestianus causing human parasitism.
