An Oriental and Palearctic species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , but all parasitic stages have been collected from Rodentia : Cricetidae (adult ticks rarely), while larvae and nymphs have been recovered from Rodentia : Muridae . Adults alone have been collected from Bovidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis garhwalensis causing human parasitism.
