An Afrotropical species whose adults and nymphs have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae , and Carnivora : Canidae and Felidae ; adults alone have been collected from Mammalia (several orders), while nymphs and larvae have been recovered from Lagomorpha : Leporidae . Rhipicephalus armatus is a very rare parasite of humans.
