L: Walker et al. (1988, 2000)

Note: Walker et al. (2000) stated that difficulties attend the morphological differentiation of Rhipicephalus lunulatus and Rhipicephalus tricuspis , as well as Rhipicephalus interventus , a species that is morphologically intermediate between these two species. Consequently, some redescriptions of Rhipicephalus lunulatus published prior to Walker et al. (1998) are not included in the above lists. The descriptions of the larva and nymph of Rhipicephalus lunulatus in Saratsiotis (1977) are not recognized in Walker et al. (1988, 2000), but we have found no reason to consider those descriptions invalid.
