Genus Acirsa Mørch, 1857 View in CoL

Type species. Scalaria eschrichti Holböll in Møller (1842) (subsequent designation by Bouchet & Warén 1986). Recent, northwest Atlantic.

Remarks. Bouchet & Warén (1986: p. 526) regarded Hemiacirsa Boury, 1890 , Plesioacirsa Boury, 1909 and Pseudacirsa Kobelt, 1903 as junior subjective synonyms of Acirsa Mørch. This opinion is followed here.
