Genus Skenea Fleming, 1825 View in CoL
Type species. Helix serpuloides Montagu, 1808 (subsequent designation by Gray 1847: p. 152). Recent, Great Britain.
Remarks. Three Campanian species S. wareni , S. suturata and S. torallensis from Northern Spain were described and tentatively assigned to this genus by Kiel & Bandel (2002a). They clearly do not belong here as their sutures are too little impressed, separating rather abutting whorls and they have a rather strongly reinforced aperture.
