Distribution: NE Venezuela; Curaçao and Bonaire ( Netherlands Antilles).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).

Discussion: Includes larensis; see Genoways and Williams (1979 a). A single specimen reported from St. Martin probably represents nigricans ; see Jones (1989).
