D e s c r i p t i o n. The leaves are oblong oval with fine serrate-dentate margin, venation craspedodromous, secondaries mostly simple, dense, regularly orientated.
D i s c u s s i o n. The above listed impressions in morphology match other records of Carpinus grandis in adjacent sites in North Bohemia (e.g. Kvaček and Walther 1998, Walther and Kvaček 2007). No associated fruit remains have been recovered at Matrý.
