Lectotype (Verdcourt in Hubbard & Milne-Redhead, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Convolvulaceae : 128. 1963): Herb. Linn. No. 218.32 ( LINN) .

Current name: Ipomoea coptica (L.) Roem. & Schult. View in CoL ( Convolvulaceae ).

Note: Although Meeuse (in Bothalia 6: 760. 1958) indicated that one of the specimens at LINN "is to be taken as the lectotype ", he did not distinguish between sheets 218.32 and 218.33. As they are evidently not part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
