This species was originally described from the female only and an error in the description caused the male to be described as a new species. Both sexes are keyed by Disney (2009 b). It has previously been recorded from Arabia and the Cape Verde Islands. Material examined: 1♂ Ouari Maro, ex Russula sp. 5 ( TU116035 ), 1.vii, emerged 8.vii (42-8) .
