The larvae of this cosmopolitan species feed on a wide range of decaying organic materials and are occasionally facultative secondary feeders on fungi already spoiled by other fungus feeding insects (Disney 2008 a). Both sexes are included in recent keys (Disney 2009 b).

( TU116116 ), 5.vii, emerged 17–19.vii (42-5) ; 1♀ Kpessou, ex Boletaceae sp. ( TU116074 ), 4.vii, emerged 10.vii (42-12) ; 1♂ Ouari Maro, ex Russula sp. 5 ( TU116035 ), 1.vii, emerged 8.vii (42-8) .
