Filago lutescens View in CoL Jordan (1846: 201)
Lectotype (designated here): ― Illustration in Jordan, Observ. Pl. Nouv. 3: pl. 7, f. B, 1–10. 1846.
Epitype (designated here): ― FRANCE. Lyon, Jordan s.n. (LYJB Sagot VI-H7!)
Protologue citation: ― “…aux environs de Lyon…”.
Note: ― We choose as lectotype the illustration indicated in the protologue of F. lutescens because we did not find any collection by Jordan corresponding to this species and gathered undoubtedly before 1846, and we cannot be completely sure that it was the only material on which the description was written. The illustration is not in colour and it does not show details on the number of involucral bracts ; thus, the presence of 15 − 20 bracts and the yellowish appearance typical of F. lutescens cannot be observed. In this situation an epitype is selected among Jordan’s collections at LYJB to serve as an interpretative type for this name .
