Ecological category. Endogeic (epiendogeic), hygrophilous.

Habitat. Moist forest and grassland soils.

Zoogeographical distribution type. Alpine-Dinaric-Karpathian.

Distribution in Croatia. In western part of Croatia in all three regions. Michaelsen (1900): Plitvička jezera, Rijeka; Szüts (1919): Jasenak, Sljeme; Omodeo (1954): Učka; Rucner & Rucner (1971): Bijeli Vrh, Cesargradska gora, Crikvenica, Janjičarski vrh, Kriva draga, Lazac, Mali Risnjak, Markov brlog, Platak, Snježnik; Šapkarev (1979): Galovac, Plitvička jezera; Mršić (1984, 1987): Bačić Duliba, Grabovo rame, Kapela, Mokrice, Platak, Smiljan, Štirovača.
