Vernacular Names: Red-handed Tamarin.

Synonyms: Saguinus egens (Thomas 1912) ; Saguinus lacepedii (Fischer 1806) ; Saguinus rufimanus (É. Geoffroy 1812) ; Saguinus tamarin (Link 1795) .

Distribution: Brazil, Guyana, Cayenne, Surinam, north of the Amazon, east of the Rio Negro.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Least Concern.

Discussion: S. midas species group.
