Distr.: Peru, Colombia (Antioquia (La Pintada)); Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina. (des. Couri & de Carvalho, 1997: 273). Refs.: Pont, 1972: 55 (cat.); Nihei & de Carvalho, 2002 (gynandromorphism); de Carvalho et al., 2005: 32 (cat.); Löwenberg-Neto & de Carvalho, 2013: 19; Uribe-M et al., 2010: 464 (distr. rec.).
