GENUS DIOPATRA AUDOUIN View in CoL & MILNE- EDWARDS, 1833 (SENSU BUDAEVA & FAUCHALD, 2011)
Type species: Diopatra amboinensis Audouin & Milne- Edwards, 1833 (type by subsequent designation).
Type locality: Ambon Island, Indonesia .
Diagnosis: Median antenna shorter than or equal to lateral antennae; styles of palps and antennae covered with sensory papillae; anterior four to six pairs of parapodia modified, but not enlarged, with pseudocompound hooks with short to moderately long, pointed hoods; limbate chaetae serrated; branchiae spiral, present only on median chaetigers; postchaetal lobes present on all chaetigers; two pairs of anal cirri; maxillae VI absent.
