Lectotype (Fischer in Feddes Repert. 108: 116. 1997): Herb. Clifford: 9, Veronica 10 (BM-000557548) .

Current name: Veronica hederifolia L. ( Scrophulariaceae ).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “hederaefolia” in the protologue.

Although Pennell (in Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia Monogr. 1: 350. 1935) stated that the type was in LINN, he did not distinguish between sheets 26.60 and 26.61 (which are not part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply).
