Diagnosis. Goeldia chinipensis differs from other species by the tegular process finger-shaped, with base larger than the apex ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ); by the thick and distally constricted patellar apophysis ( Fig.7B–C View FIGURE 7 ) and torsion of the palpal tibia ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ).

Description. Male (paratype, AMNH). Coloration: carapace, chelicerae, endites, labium, sternum, and femora dark brown; other leg segments yellowish-brown. Opisthosoma black. Total length 3.52. Carapace: length 1.84, width 1.68, height 1.04. Opisthosoma: length 1.64, width 1.24. Clypeus height: 0.12 high. Eye diameters and interdistances: AME 0.08; ALE 0.11; PME 0.08; PLE 0.08; AME–AME 0.11; AME–ALE 0.13; ALE–PLE 0.09; PLE–PME 0.19; PME–PME 0.14; PME–AME 0.12. Paturon: 1.0 long. Leg measurements: I: femur 1.52/ patella 0.66/ tibia 1.28/ metatarsus 1.42/ tarsus 0.80/ total 5.68; II: 1.32/ 0.70/ 1.10/ 1.16/ 0.62/ 4.90; III: 1.20/ 0.60/ 0.80/ 0.96/ 0.52/ 4.08; IV: 1.42/ 0.50/ 1.12/ 1.20/ 0.60/ 4.84. Leg formula 1243. Leg spination: femur I p1ap; II p1ap; tibia I v1-3-1m-2(1r- 1m)-2(1m-1p); III v1sa, p1sa, r1sa, IV v1-2-1- 1m; metatarsus I p1ap, r1ap, v1apm; II p1ap, r1ap, v1map; III v2-1r- 1m, r1ap, p1-1d-1ap; IV v2-3-2- 1m; r1ap, p0-1-1ap. Patellar apophysis thick and pointed ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Tibial apophysis projected to prolateral side due to tibial torsion ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). MLT reduced and apex completely membranous ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ). Tegular process shaped as depicted ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ). Pars pendula thickening far from the tip of the embolus ( Fig. 8D View FIGURE 8 ). Spermatic duct partially bent ( Fig. 8A View FIGURE 8 ).

Distribution. Only known from the type locality: Chinipas, State of Chihuahua, Mexico ( Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 ).
