Distribution. China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Russia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam ( Betrem 1928; Gupta & Jonathan 2003; Liu et al. 2021a; Pham & van Achterberg 2023).
Species included. In total, only three species of Megacampsomeris occur in the Philippines archipelago: M. bitschi Castagnet, 2021 from Mindanao, Luzon, and Panay; M. funesta Castagnet & Cabon , sp. nov. from Mindanao; and M. luzonensis ( Rohwer, 1921) , comb. nov. from Mindanao, Luzon, and Negros. These species can be differentiated using the following keys, which also include M. habrocoma (not present in the Philippines; in square brackets in the keys), a species closely related to M. funesta sp. nov.
