Material examined. Tasmania. 1/1/0, Old river branch Coal River, N of Richmond, 17-x-1997; 0/1/0, Reservoir of Darlington, Maria Island NP, 42º 35’ 23.28” S 148º 5’ 7.78” S, 18-x-1997. Victoria. 1/2/2, Swamp at junction of Victoria Valley Road and Bundol Road, SW of Grampians NP, 37º 35’14.50” S 142º 18’58.36” E, 30-ix-1997.

Description. Male: See Lundblad (1947). L/W of the males from this study 2432–2754 / 2171–2693.

Female: L/W 2613/2452 (2814–2915 /2673–2653). Dorsum as in male, but the two platelets complete, not one broken in two parts as in male (the latter may be an artefact). Fourth coxae very wide posteromedially. First, third and fourth coxae with one seta. Genital field with a short anterior indentation, 259 long and 437 wide. Genital field with 13–14 small setae; near posterior margin more setae (10–15?). Length of PI–PV: 162, 202, 251, 114, 42; PIV slender, L/H 3.92. Length of I-leg-4–6: 292, 292, 296. Length of IV-leg-4–6: 698, 697, 437.

Remarks. The female has not been described before. Previously known from Victoria only.
