Type locality. Vietnam (Ninh Binh: Cuc Phuong NP) . Type material. ZMUM (W.247), Russia .

Examined material. 7 A (SORC-V.014.01), and 1 C (CTU-EW.047.01) Muong Long, Ky Son , Nghe An, 31/ 12/1985, coll. Tran Ba Cu ; 1 A (SORC-V.014.02) Cuc Phuong NP, Nho Quan , Ninh Binh, 26/3/1983, coll. Do Van Nhuong .

Records from Vietnam. Ninh Binh (Cuc Phuong NP) ; Nghe An (Ky Son) ( Thai 1982; Thai & Tran 1986; Do 1994).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun bản bóng.

Remarks. The population from Ky Son has smaller size, three pairs of genital markings on vii, viii and ix, and deeply-lobuled intestinal caeca ( Thai & Tran 1986). Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
