Type locality. Laos (Hong Ngua).
Type material. SORC, Vietnam.
Records from Vietnam. Phu Tho (Xuan Son NP) (Huynh et al. 2005).
Distribution. Laos ( Thai & Samphon 1988; Samphon 1990).
Remarks. The subspecies was originally described from Laos, and never been previously known in Vietnam. Further examination was not possible because all previously collected material has been lost.
