Amynthas dipapillatus ( Do & Tran, 1995)

Pheretima dipapillata Do & Tran, 1995 (in: Do et al. 1995): 91, fig. 1G; Thai 2000a: 308; Huynh et al. 2005: 180. Amynthas ? dipapillatus— Blakemore 2007a: 29; Blakemore 2008b.

Type locality. Vietnam (Nghe An: Quy Hop ).

Type material. SORC, Vietnam.

Examined material. 5 C (SORC-V.034.01) bushes lands, Chau Nga, Quy Chau, Nghe An, 13/5/1988, coll. Tran Minh Khoi.

Records from Vietnam. Phu Tho (Xuan Son NP) ; Nghe An (Quy Hop; Que Phong) ( Do et al. 1995; Huynh et al. 2005).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun hai nhú phụ.

Remarks. The species is fairly similar to Amynthas zenkevichi ( Thai, 1982) , but distinguished by having three pairs of spermathecal pores and shorter prostatic duct ( Do et al. 1995). Blakemore (2007a, 2008b) considered it as " species inquirenda ". Material was re-examined and absence of male copulatory pouches and hence placement of the species in Amynthas is confirmed here.
