Type locality. Vietnam (Khanh Hoa: Nha Trang ).

Type material. MNHN (AE578 (A 730)), France.

Records from Vietnam. Khanh Hoa (Nha Trang: Cau Da, Hon Tre Isl. ) ( Michaelsen 1934b; Huynh 2005a; Thai et al. 2004).

Distribution. Only known from Vietnam.

Vietnamese name. Giun cầu đá.

Remarks. The species was only recorded in Hon Tre Isl., and never found in other places. Thai (1983) proposed a new subgenus Terrata of the genus Pheretima , and placed the species under the new subgenus.
