Remarks. Hawaiian specimens identified as N. pubesens represent a distinct, yet undescribed species (P.K.L. Ng, personal communication).

Geographical distribution. Neoliomera pubescens is found across Indo-West Pacific region; undescribed species appears to be a Hawaiian endemic.
