Diagnosis. Head longer than broad, with posterior margin nearly straight and central section somewhat concave, with lateral margins evenly eminence. Frontoclypeal projection developed, shelf-formed, with a well-developed median vertical lamella (fused and vertically developed frontal carina). Mandibles small and triangular, hidden below frontoclypeal projection; masticatory margin with acute apical tooth followed by a series of small denticles, with several thick and short setae on side. Antennal scrobes degeneration, antennal sockets completely exposed, separated by vertical lamella on either side to form a frontal carina. Antennae 12-segmented. Eyes absent.

Mesosoma in lateral view with a nearly straight dorsal outline. Promesonotal suture and metanotal groove absent. Propodeal lobe forming a round margin. Mesosoma in dorsal view long and narrow; anterior 1/3 of lateral margins roundly convex; posterior 2/3 narrower than anterior 1/3, with nearly parallel lateral margin, posterior margin of propodeum concave, with a pair of conspicuous propodeal teeth.

Petiole in dorsal view nearly rectangular, weakly widened around in middle. Dorsal outline of petiole in lateral view abruptly upcurved in its anterior part, and gently upcurved or nearly horizontal in its posterior part. Subpetiolar process present. First and second segments of gaster obvious gridling contraction, gastral segment I in profile tubular. Body ferruginous brown or pale yellow, with extremely fine pubescence, micro-punctate, overlain by scattered foveolae.

Distribution. Palearctic, Oriental, Australasia, Afrotropical, Neotropical.
