Widely distributed in the Neotropics, from Costa Rica to NE Argentina, from Panama so far reported from Chiriqui (Reiner-Drehwald 2005).

So far known from Costa Rica and Panama, Bocas del Toro (Reiner-Drehwald 2005). The specimen was included in a molecular phylogenetic analysis of Heinrichs et al. (2013).
