Chiriqui: Loc. 17, epiphytic on shrub and on Alnus acutifolia , 2480–2600 m , 30893, 30908, 30921.

A widespread neotropical species, growing usually at higher altitudes, known from Costa Rica to Bolia and SE Brazil, from the West Indies reported only from the Dominican Republic ( Schäfer-Verwimp & Pócs 2009). The specimens 30908, 30921 and De Gracia et al. 338 have been included in a phylogenetic study ( Dong et al. 2012).
