Widespread Afro-American species (+ Yemen Arab Republic), in the Neotropics known from
Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil and Argentina ( Reiner-Drehwald & Schäfer-Verwimp 2008; Parolly et al. 2004; Schäfer-Verwimp et al. 2013); new to Central America.
