Identification. This species is larger than L. leptodactyloides and with gray mottling covering the entire ventral surface. It is brown dorsally, with black and white bars on the lips, inconspicuous dorsolateral folds, and scattered spicules on the back. Finger I is longer than finger II, epidermal ridges occur along the toes, and the toes usually lack expanded discs. Males reach 60 mm SVL, and females grow up to almost 82 mm SVL.
Habitat. This species frequently calls from marsh habi- tat in pastures. It has also been taken from a farm pond at a private residence next to WWS.
