Comment

According to Narendran (1989) only remains from the type series is a slide with a single antenna. The species was described at the same time as Euchalcis myrmeleonae Mani and is most probably conspecific with it as they both have the same origin and host, the two names thus figuring the two sexes. Because of the sexual dimorphism, Mani (1936) did not even recognise that they belonged to the same genus. The male has a sharp tooth on the ventral margin of the scape, a typical feature of some Lasiochalcidia , especially of L. pilosella (Cameron, 1904) . Narendran (1989) considered E. myrmeleonae a junior synonym of that species but Neochalcis myrmeleonae is probably another one.
