Remark.

This species was only known from the holotype (female), slide mounted, from Yercaud, in the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu, India. What appears to be the same species was found in the NMNH collection, a female and male point mounted with this collection data: “ PUERTO RICO // Santa Isabel // 21 - VIII- 1991 // S. Medina-Gand //// ex mango // branch dying // of fire //// # 91-9140 // Acerocephala // n. sp. // det. // E. Grissell 1991 ” (female) and “ PUERTO RICO // Santa Isabel // 21 - VIII- 1991 // S. Medina-Gand //// ex mango // branch dying // of fire ” (male). See Fig. 6 for photos, and key for distinguishing characters.
