Material examined. Two males and four females, East of Gachsaran, Neyneh cave, 17 May 2012 (CBSU-Cr- Is.1006); two males and one female, same data (PCGMK 1604).
Remarks. These specimens are very similar to the ones described and illustrated as Proporcellio sp. from the United Arab Emirates (Taiti & Checcucci 2011) and to specimens from other parts of Iran (unpublished data). Due to the taxonomic uncertainties of the genus Proporcellio (see Taiti & Checcucci 2011), the taxonomic status of this species currently remains unclear.
Distribution. New record for Iran.
