Material examined: Holotype (male): “Sydney” / “ Holotype, Neoanthrenus armstrongi, V. Kalík 1957 ”. Distribution: Australia: Sydney (Mroczkowski 1968; Háva 2003; Háva 2012). Remarks: The newly transferred species is a secondary homonym of A. armstrongi Mroczkowski, 1952 , and therefore a replacement name A. armstrongielus is proposed.
