Gender. Masculine.
Type species. Paranesotanais longicephalus n. sp.
Etymology. Named after the similarities, particularly those of the female, with Nesotanais .
Diagnosis. Female. Pereonites 4–6 longer than wide. Antenna article 3 with spiniform dorsal setae. Maxilliped endites almost completely fused; without short flat setae. Cheliped fixed finger with five ventral setae. Pereopod 4–6 dactylus with bifurcate apex.
Terminal male. Cephalothorax bottled-shaped, as long as first five pereonites combined. Cheliped basis without process; merus with ventral process; propodus without spur; fixed finger without processes; dactylus twisted inwards, with one proximal and one medial process.
