Diagnoses of larvae of most species of Oxyethira have not been published.
Material studied. ALGERIA, Blida, Hammam Melouane, Badour Wadi (S8) (36°28’43”N, 3°04’07”E), 410 m a.s.l.: 22.iv.2011, 1 larva GoogleMaps ; 22.iii.2013, 1 larva ( CSK04 ) .
Comment. The genus is currently represented in Algeria by two species: Oxyethira unidentata McLachlan 1884 and Oxyethira falcata Morton 1893 . The specimens were collected in a single moderately flowing site (S8) ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 ). The species of the larvae cannot be identified; therefore, rearing or molecular sequencing should be performed to identify the species.
