Diagnosis: The male of Agapetus paluma closely resembles that of A. cralus in having a single prominent spur subapically on the mesal side of each gonopod, but differs in the broader apices of the gonopods, much more prominent spur and narrower cerci.

Forewing length: Male 3.5–4.6 mm.

Male genitalia: Ventral process on sternite VI in lateral view constricted proximally on under side. Segment X membranous basally, sclerotised on ventral side and in ventral view appearing as pair of plates, one on each side of phallic apparatus. Cerci short, in lateral view rounded. Gonopods in ventral view elongate triangular, rounded apically, each with single stout, darkly sclerotised tooth subapically on mesal side; in lateral view about twice as long as thick, apex broadly rounded. Phallic apparatus with pair of striated parameres dorsally.

Female: Unknown.

Etymology: Named for the area from which the type specimen was collected.

Distribution: Known from eastern Queensland.

Comment: The Lock Davies Creek site from which one paratype was collected cannot be located, but is assumed to be somewhere in the vicinity of Mareeba in northeastern Queensland.
