Ptychadena oxyrhynchus (Smith, 1849)

Material (four specimens): One juvenile specimen (MHNCUP/ ANF 221, formerly UP-MHNFCP-017336), collected from unknown locality, date unknown; one adult specimen (MHNCUP/ ANF 222 , formerly UP-MHNFCP- 017337), collected from unknown locality, date unknown ; one adult specimen (MHNCUP/ ANF 305 , formerly UP- MHNFCP-017342; Fig. S22 ), collected from unknown locality, date unknown ; one adult specimen (MHNCUP/ ANF 307 , formerly UP-MHNFCP-017351), collected from unknown locality, date unknown .

Comments: Ptychadena oxyrhynchus is a species that occurs across the northeastern and western parts of Angola ( Marques et al. 2018). Ferreira (1904) cites adult specimens of “ Rana oxyrhyncha ” from “Chingo”, adults and juveniles from “N’dalla Tando” and “Cazengo”, and one juvenile from “Rio Luinha” (1906). All extant specimens in the museum lack collecting data, rendering it impossible to match the specimens to those published by Ferreira (1904). The species was recently recorded from Bicuar National Park, Huila Province ( Baptista et al. 2019; Butler et al. 2019).
