Patellapis pulchrinitens species-group

The males of this species-group differ from other species-groups by the lack of apical bristles on the posterior margin of metasomal sternum S4 ( Fig. 98d View FIGURE 98 ; Fig. 102d View FIGURE 102 ), the lack of (dense) hair patches on metasomal sterna S5–S6, the equal length of A3 and A4, and the slender, lower gonostylus. The P. pulchrinitens species-group comprises eight species: P. abnormis , P. drakensbergensis , P. minima , P. pulchrinitens , P. renosterveldi , P. sakagamii , P. spinulosa and P. timpageleri .
