Type Locality: Panama, Canal Zone, Río Chilibrillo, near Alajuela.
Vernacular Names: Orange Nectar Bat.
Distribution: Nicaragua to Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
