Perrier 1823 is here chosen as the lectotype of Diospyros torquata H.Perrier instead of the other syntype (Service forestier [original series] 55) because it possesses better preserved leaves. Perrier 13468 is here chosen as the lectotype of D. torquata H.Perrier var. mabaoides H.Perrier instead of the other syntype (Perrier 8777) because it is better preserved material.
