DISTRIBUTION: E New South Wales; introduced to Kawau Isl ( New Zealand), see Wodzicki and Flux (1967).

STATUS: U.S. ESA - Endangered.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Notamacropus ( Dawson and Flannery, 1985) .
