Basionym: Lipocarpha thermalis J.Raynal ex Goetgh., Wageningen Agric. Univ. Pap. 89 (1): 73 ( Goetghebeur 1989), non Cyperus thermalis Dumortier (1827: 145) . Type:— CONGO. P.N. Upemba, sources chaudes de Kiabukwa, près de Bukena, sur terrain sablonneux, près de la source, 11 January 1949, G.D. de Witte 5199 (holotype BR0000008645203!).
