Material examined— Hidalgo: Tlanchinol, P. f u r v u s, 6.VI.1997, 1 male.

Remarks—This species was originally described from the state of Nuevo Leon and its distribution extends to several other northern states (Chihuahua, Durango and Sinaloa). Additional collecting is needed in the intermediate state of Coahuila. Peromyscus furvus is a new host record.
