Recorded distribution in Iran: North.
Comments: The name solani (Curtis) has often been used for this species. The position of this and some other Curtis names was discussed by Wilson & Walker (2007). In the absence of a clear description and any type material the species was regarded as nomen dubium and pteridis Dahlbom (clarified by Ossiannilsson (1937)) is regarded as the valid name.
