Physorhinus sexnotatus is immediately recognized by the four yellow, discrete oval and two vague maculae on the elytral bases. Specimens examined (10): ECUADOR. Distribution: This species is widely distributed, being reported in Central America from Costa Rica and Panama, and South America from Colombia, French Guiana, Brazil, Peru, and Bolivia ( Schaaf 1971). The present discovery expands its distribution to Ecuador.
