The Leptotyphlops scutifrons species group

This group is distinguished by having the prefrontal shield fused with the rostral shield, a small anterior supralabial and a subtriangular cloacal shield. Most species have a tall posterior supralabial which reaches the level of the eye and are uniform black above and below. The robust skull usually has fused parietals.
