Bot.: 147. 1696. - Epitype (Doweld in Turczaninowia 5(1): 12. 2002): Jamaica. Manchester, 2, 100ft, 31 Aug 1979, G.R. Proctor 38288 (MO).

Current name: Hylocereus triangularis (L.) Britton & Rose  ( Cactaceae  ).

Note: Hunt (in Bradleya 2: 41. 1984) implies this was based on a Plumier plate (t. 200, f. 1) but there is no Plumier element included in the protologue.
