Type material: Holotype: male ( IZCAS), Dawan cave (Alt.: 438 m; T.: 18 ºC; H.: 95%), Poyue Village, Poyue Town, Bama County [24°18.097´N, 107°06.932´E, Guangxi, China], 11 March 2007, Y.C. Lin and J. Liu leg. GoogleMaps Paratypes: 2 males and 6 females, same data as holotype ( IZCAS) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific epithet is a name in apposition and is derives from the name of type locality.

Diagnosis. Leptonetela bama sp. nov. is similar to L. caucasica Dunin (1990) , but can be easily distinguished from the latter by the smaller pedipalpal bulb, the pedipalpal tibia with 6 retrolateral spurs (spur III and IV crossed and subequal in size), the pedipalpal tarsus not contracted at middle, the end of tarsus beyond pedipalpal bulb distinctly, and the presence of an apical spur at the pedipalpal tarsus.

Description. Holotype male. Total length 2.18. Prosoma 1.04 long, 1.00 wide. Sternum 0.72 long, 0.67 wide. Opisthosoma 1.20 long, 1.02 wide. Dorsal shield of prosoma yellow, two long setae at antrolateral area of PEM, anteriorly clypeal margin with short setae. Thoracic median groove fuscous, needle-shaped, nearby with a pair of setae. Cervical groove and radial furrows distinct, pale brown. Clypeus 0.23 high, slightly sloped anteriorly. Six eyes white, ovoid. Eye sizes: ALE 0.08, PLE 0.08, PME 0.06; ALE-ALE 0.02, ALE- PME 0.16, PLE-PLE 0.13, PLE-PME 0.07; AER 0.15, PER 0.20. Major axes of PLE convergent behind, PME adjacent, median axes parallel. Chelicerae slightly longer than endites, brown yellow, fang furrow with 11 promarginal and 6 retromarginal teeth. Endites and labium yellow. Sternum pale brown-yellow. Legs yellow. Leg measurements: I 9.31 (2.60, 0.38, 2.68, 2.15, 1.50); II 8.15 (2.30, 0.35, 2.30, 1.90, 1.30); III 6.93 (2.00, 0.35, 1.83, 1.70, 1.05); IV 8.68 (2.45, 0.38, 2.40, 2.15, 1.30). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. Femur I bear prolateral thick-setae at middle. Tibia I and II covered a row of slender hairs retrolaterally. Each tibia with 2 trichobothria and 6 long spines. A finely serrated hairs-comb located at ventral base of the metatarsi II and III respectively. Metatarsal spine absent. Opisthosoma pale or yellow, ovoid, lacking pigment, covered with short hairs.

Pedipalpal femur without modified large spine, slightly swollen distally. A short dorsal spine at patella distally. Two dorsal trichobothria, 4 prolateral and 6 retrolateral spurs modified pedipalpal tibia, tibial spur IV and V thickest and crossed. Tarsus longer than tibia, and beyond pedipalpal bulb. Tarsus no rugose, earlobeshaped process absent, with an apical and a prolateral spurs. Pedipalpal bulb small, subround, a weakly sclerotized embolus and a translucent membranous conductor located at the apex of bulb, median apophysis small.

Female. Similar to male in coloration and general features, but body size larger and legs shorter. Total length 2.46. Prosoma 1.06 long, 1.00 wide. Sternum 0.74 long, 0.70 wide. Opisthosoma 1.49 long, 1.22 wide. Clypeus 0.22 high. Six eyes, white. Eye sizes: ALE 0.08, PLE 0.08, PME 0.07; ALE-ALE 0.02, ALE-PME 0.16, PLE-PLE 0.15, PLE-PME 0.07; AER 0.17, PER 0.23. Major axes of PLE convergent. PME adjacent, median axes parallel. Chelicerae slightly longer than endites, brown yellow, fang furrow with 11 promarginal and 5 or 6 retromarginal teeth. Endites and labium yellow. Sternum pale brown-yellow. Leg measurements: I 9.20 (2.60, 0.35, 2.70, 2.05, 1.50); II 7.93 (2.30, 0.35, 2.23, 1.80, 1.25); III 6.80 (1.95, 0.35, 1.85, 1.60, 1.05); IV 8.28 (2.45, 0.38, 2.13, 2.02, 1.30). Leg formula: I-IV-II-III. The chaetotaxy of each leg same as in male.

Genital area covered with long hairs. Internal genitalia with a pair of spermathecae and sperm ducts, twisted and weakly sclerotized, spermathecae comparted a spacial distance. The atrium broad, near triangular, slightly procurved at anterior middle margin, with modified slender hairs at laterals. Genitalia attached a sheet of translucent membrane at the posterior margin.

Distribution. Known only from type locality.
